White Cane Awareness Day, observed annually in the US on October 15, celebrates strength and independence for those with visual impairment or blindness.
Together the Vermont Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Vermont Association for the Bind and Visually Impaired will sponsor a panel discussion "Dispelling Myths About Blindness" followed by an experiential walk and light refreshments at Castleton University on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 11:30-1:30. The panel will be moderated and composed of individuals who are blind and will focus on employment, recreation, parenting and education.
