Vermont's Next State Plan on Aging  - Seeking Input and Comments

The Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) is developing the next State Plan on aging, a guiding document that outlines how the State of Vemront and the network of Vermont's Agencies on Aging and service providers will strive to meet the changing needs of older Vermonters over time.  The draft plan is online at in their "Latest News" section on the left side of the page. 

We welcome your input!  The public comment period begins Monday, April 9th, 2018 and is open through Friday, April 27, 2018.

Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP) Modified State Plan for Program years 2016 to 2019

Under the Federal Older Americans Act the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) requires the modification of its 4-year State Plan after the second year.  Vermont's State SCSEP Plan for the years 2016-2019 has reached that 2-year benchmark and the Plan needs to be modified.  The public is encouraged to review the State SCSEP Plan Modifications and submit comments to Greg Voorheis, the Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living's Mature Worker Program Coordinator.  

The Modified Plan will be available for public comment for approximately 4 weeks, or until May 4, 2018, whichever is later.
