What is the DAIL Advisory Board?
The Board provides the Department with input and suggestions on issues relating to the department and its' programs.
Who is on the DAIL Advisory Board?
The Board members are program representatives, advocates, and consumers who represent individuals with disabilities and aging Vermonters.
About the Meetings:
The DAIL Advisory Board meets monthly, on the second Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no meeting in August. At the beginning of the year the Board reviews the meeting schedule and possible topics. Meetings are open to the public and follow Vermont public meetings laws. All meetings are held in accessible facilities.

Applying for the DAIL Advisory Board
Any person who represents individuals with disabilities or aging Vermonters is welcome to apply to be on the board. Please complete a Gubernatorial Application and a resume and mail them to:

The application is reviewed by the Commissioner of the department and the Secretary of the Agency of Human Services, and is then forwarded to the Governor’s office. The Governor’s office will notify the person if they are appointed to the board.
Members of the Board are appointed by the governor for staggered terms of three years, and shall serve until a successor is appointed. If a person is appointed in the middle of a term, they shall fulfill the remaining amount of time for that term. There is no limit on the number of terms a person serves on this Board. A Gubernatorial Application for Reappointment needs to be filled out and mailed to the address above.
